Cavitation meter
To understand when an ultrasonic tank is functioning, it is not sufficient to hear its sound, and tests with aluminum foil give very approximate results and are not possible with all chemical products. In the ultrasonic washing process four fundamental parameters work together: bath temperature, cycle time, percentage and type of chemical product, and ultrasound. The first three parameters are always measured and controlled, but the ultrasound? For this, we developed a special instrument, the RDM1329 Cavitation Power Meter, which makes it possible to obtain a quantification of the intensity of the cavitation, and thus know how much the ultrasonic waves are functioning. The knowledge of this parameter is of fundamental importance. The instrument has a comparative function, and the thousands of measurements made make it possible to “map” the various applications, assigning a specific cavitation level to each.
